Peppa Pig characters dress, stay at home, and drive cars. However, they still display some animal characteristics based on the reference animal. Peppa and her family snort like pigs when they speak and they speak British English. Other animals also make their voices when talking. Some characters show other traits such as the Rabbit family squeaking and eating carrots. The Rabbit family is a distinct exception to the rule of human-like habitat, in that they live in hill burrows even though they have windows and are furnished with the same furniture as any other house.
