To keep up with the advancement of technology and globalization in the 21t century, learning English as a second/foreign language is no longer confined to the traditional classroom setting. Language skills are not taught separately, grammar-based learning supports the meaning-making activities rather than becoming the main activity itself, and the success of language learning is measured by how well the students are in using the language to accomplish real-world tasks. Thus, to succeed in today's fast-paced and dynamic business world, students need to have a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. English for Business: Reinventing the Case-and Project-Based Learning is a textbook that reflects the 21 century learning approach that provides students with the language skills they need to succeed in the modern business world. It incorporates the principles of case-based learning and project-based learning to equip students with practical skills that can be applied in real-life business scenarios. Addressed to undergraduate students in need to learn English in a business context, this book provides eight units entitled Application Letters, Job Interview, Inquiry Letters, Product Description, Complaint Letters, Handling Complaints, Business Report, and Business Meeting. They are developed based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Language at level B, which equals the intermediate level. The materials and activities are arranged based on the Bloom Taxonomy to ensure that the levels of difficulty are well- divided into Let's 8raded, starting from the easiest to the most challenging ones. Each unit is Let's Try, Let's Check, six sub-units: Let's Start, Let's Observe, Get It, and Let's Reflect. Students are encouraged to do various activities to promote The Mastery of the 21 * Century Skills, such as critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, creativity, collaboration, ICT literacy, information literacy, etc. The activities and tasks are designed to align with case-based learning and project-based learning to ensure active engagement and retention of knowledge and skills. At the end of the learning process, the students ar expected to be able to use English in various business contexts, especially with a well-structured format, clear and precise content, proper language structures, and proper vocabulary uses.
